When was the last time you pressed the ‘Test’ button?

Quick tip to keep you safe!

Here’s a quick tip from Karl and Charlie at KCM Electricals. See that little ‘T’ or ‘Test’ button on your consumer unit? You should be pressing it every six months.

It’s there to make sure your RCD (the safety trip switch) is actually working. If you press it and nothing happens, your safety protection might be stuck—which is a big deal if a fault occurs.

It only takes a second, but if it doesn’t trip, give KCM Electricals a shout. We’d rather you be safe than sorry!
